What’s Changing

Your Sazerac benefits are getting better next year.

Learn about your 2025 Sazerac Benefits

There are exciting changes coming to your benefits next year, including updated health plans and a new partner for life, disability and supplemental health insurance. Explore what’s new below.

MEDICAL PLAN

We’re updating your four Anthem BCBS medical plan options.

Here’s what’s changing effective Jan 1, 2025:

  • Free Telehealth. You’ll pay less for virtual primary care, urgent care, therapy, and psychiatry next year when you use LiveHealth Online in the Sydney Health app. Sazerac PPO plan participants will pay $0. Sazerac HDHP plan participants will pay a set low fee before meeting the annual deductible and 0% afterward.
  • Lower Deductibles. Deductibles are the amount you pay for covered non-preventive services before your plan benefits will pay. All four medical plans will have lower deductibles in 2025.
  • Co-insurance Changes. Coinsurance is the percentage of covered services you pay after meeting your deductible. Coinsurance for the Value HDHP and PPO Low plans will increase from 20% to 30% for most in-network services.
  • New Out-of-Pocket Maximums. Out-of-pocket maximum (OOPM) is the most you will pay for covered services in a plan year, including your deductible. The OOPM for the Value HDHP is increasing (you may pay more) and OOPM for the PPO High plan is reducing (you may pay less).
  • Pharmacy Benefit Changes. Your prescription drug coverage is changing, including new cost-sharing and limits on some plans. Prescriptions will need to be filled at in-network pharmacies.

MEDICAL RATES

Good news – No rate increase!

Your share of the cost of Sazerac medical insurance is not changing next year.

DENTAL PLAN

We’re making changes to both dental plans to create two differentiated options: a low-cost option the covers the basics and an enhanced high plan with more robust benefits.

Dental Low Plan

  • The plan will add coverage for major services (previously not covered).
  • The plan will no longer cover orthodontia services (previously covered for children up to $500 per lifetime).
  • Payroll deduction rates will be lower.

Dental High Plan

  • The annual benefit maximum will increase from $1,500 to $2,000 per covered family member (the plan will pay for more).
  • Coverage for major services will increase from 50% to 60% (so you’ll pay less).
  • The plan will add orthodontia services for adults, and increase the orthodontia lifetime benefit maximum to $2,000 (previously orthodontia was covered for children only up to $1,000 lifetime benefit maximum).
  • Payroll deduction rates will increase slightly
DENTAL PLAN RATES

Rates are changing slightly for 2025.

With the plan features changing, what you pay each pay period for dental coverage is also changing for 2025:

  • Low Plan Costs Less. Bi-weekly payroll deductions for the Dental Low Plan are decreasing. Take a fresh look at this option – it may meet your family’s needs and save you money.
  • High Plan Costs More. Bi-weekly payroll deductions for the Dental High Plan will increase.
VISION PLAN

There are a few small changes to the Blue View Vision plan you should understand:

  • Free Eye Exams. We’re removing the $10 copay for in-network routine well-vision exams. In 2025, you can get one eye exam at no cost when you see an Anthem Blue View Vision provider.
  • Increased Materials Copay. If you need new glasses or contacts next year, the in-network copay will be $20 (previously $10).
  • No Rate Increase. Payroll deductions for vision insurance are not increasing. You’ll pay the same low rate next year.

Vision Rates – No Increase

HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTS

If you choose the Value HDHP or Classic HDHP medical plan, you’re eligible for a pre-tax Health Savings Account.

  • Same Administrator. WEX Health will remain our HSA administrator, so keep your current HSA debit card.
  • Powerful Savings Tool. Unlike FSAs (which are single-year spending accounts that must be fully spent by Dec 31 each year), the money you and Sazerac contribute to your HSA is always yours to keep. Balances rollover from year-to-year and you can even invest your savings once your balance reaches $1,000.
  • You Can Save More. The IRS has raised the contribution limit for HSAs – meaning you can contribute more via pre-tax payroll deductions. Log in during Annual Enrollment to increase your contribution.
  • Sazerac Adds More, Too. For 2025, Sazerac is increasing how much we contribute to eligible HSAs:
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
We’ll continue offer you the opportunity to pay for eligible health and daycare expenses with pre-tax dollars.

  • Higher Annual Limits. The IRS has raised the contribution limit for pre-tax Health Care FSAs to $3,200. The Dependent Care FSA contribution limit is not changing.
  • Does not automatically continue. If you wish to have a HCFSA or DCFSA in 2025, you must sign up during Annual Enrollment.
  • Use-it-or-lose-it. Carefully plan your contribution to these accounts each year, since funds not spent by Dec 31 are forfeited.
LIFE & DISABILITY INSURANCE

New York Life will replace The Hartford as our Life Insurance, AD&D, and Disability provider. Here’s what you should know:

  • Your Sazerac-provided Basic Life, AD&D, and disability coverage is not changing.
  • If you currently have supplemental life insurance through The Hartford, your coverage will automatically continue through New York Life at similar rates.
  • During this year’s Annual Enrollment, you can buy Voluntary Life Insurance up to the Guarantee Issue (GI) limits without needing to complete Evidence of Insurability (EOI). The GI limits are $150,000 for Team Member Supplemental Life and $100,000 for Spouse/Partner Supplemental Life.
  • With New York Life, you may be eligible to apply for more coverage for next year (subject to EOI approval).
SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH PLANS

New York Life will replace Allstate as our Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity insurance provider. Here’s what you can expect:

  • We’re simplifying your coverage options and have negotiated new rates – see Benefits Guide pages 12-13.
  • Since coverage is changing, we strongly suggest you review your new options during Annual Enrollment and choose the plan that works best for you.
  • If you have coverage under Allstate today, we’ll automatically enroll you in the most similar coverage with New York Life.
LEGAL ASSISTANCE PLAN
The ARAG legal assistance plan is getting better next year:

  • New Features. The Plan will include new tax and financial wellness counseling services.
  • Lower Rate. Contribution rates are decreasing, from $8.42 to $7.93 per bi-weekly pay.
MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS

You and your family will have additional mental health support in 2025:

  • More EAP Visits. We’re doubling the number of free sessions for you and every member of your household, from 3 to 6, when you speak with a Health Advocate EAP counselor.
  • Lower Cost Virtual Care. Therapy and psychiatry visits through Anthem’s LiveHealth Online will cost you less. PPO plan members will pay $0 for all Live Health Online visits, and HDHP members will pay 0% after meeting their annual deductible.
HOW TO ENROLL

Choose your 2025 benefits during Annual Enrollment: Oct 30 – Nov 12. There are four ways to enroll:

  • Log on to www.mySazeracRewards.com for a self-guided enrollment experience.
  • Mobile App. Download the MyChoice Mobile app to enroll on-the-go.
  • Call 888-850-1772 (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm ET) to enroll with a representative.
  • Make an appointment with a certified benefits counselor to get your questions answered and enroll with some help.
